CHOOSING which Consultation is for You

If you'd like a consultation but you're not sure which one to have, this can help you.

* First, take a few moments of stillness - somewhere with no phones, TV or interruptions - and take eleven slow, deep breaths. Relax and look at your situation as quietly, honestly and calmly as you can...
 
When making the 3 lists below (A, B & C), keep them as brief as possible and try not to repeat anything, especially things that you have strong feelings about. Try to keep each list to just a few things so that it'll include the most important ones. This will help you gain clarity on matters that are truly vital to your path foward.
 
(A)   Write a list of the issues and circumstances that are concerning you MOST at this time.
(These might be big issues that affect your whole life or maybe situations that are just right now. It might be people, situations, health or... anything.)
 
(B)   Write down the things, in your present situation, you'd MOST like to change.
(You can write anything—especially things that you feel unable to change! These might be big issues or small ones, in you or around you.)

(C)   Write down why you believe you have been unable to make those changes before now.
(This could be personal reasons, outside influences, or maybe health, or people around you or financial issues—anything. Be as clear and specific as possible.)
 

* Now, with the notes you've just made, choose which of the following summaries MOST describes your present situation:

1. I want to know where my life is heading now. Things generally seem to have come to a halt and I can't seem to see a way forward. I feel like a boat without a rudder.

2. I feel I want to set a new direction in my life because I seem to have lost interest or enthusiasm. This may be only in one part of my life (such as work, relationship, or where I live) but it is important enough to attract my attention and concern now.

3. I want to know more about myself, what my innate skills and qualities are, and how I can use them and apply them in my life from now on.

4. I'd like to know why my life seems to have been the way it has been so far, and what I can do to transform it so that it will reflect what I believe I really want. (Write a list of what you really want in life)

5. I want to be more conscious of my life purpose and how I can bring it into being in my life. What do I need to do to achieve service to others and the world?

6. Where am I spiritually? What is my path and how can get onto it more knowingly? I'd like to know why I'm here, why I'm doing this, and what the reason is behind it all.

7. I have health problems and I want to look at what I need to address and change so that I can get on top of my condition.

8. What's going on in my life? Where am I? What's happening? Others seem to see things so clearly in my life but I can't seem to see clearly through all the problems and issues that are going on.

9. What can I work on in myself to grow, move forward and maximise my life? I feel like I haven't achieved my true potential in some/all areas and I'd like to know why and what I can do to improve my position.

10. My work/business isn't working. It was ok before but now I feel dissatisfied and ready to move on to something else, even though I might not know what.

11. If I could start all over again, I'd do it differently. I want to bring that possibility into my life from now on and have the ways and reasons to use it and apply it to everything that comes up.

12. I just don't feel at home any more where I'm living. I can, and want, make a move but I don't know where to start looking. And I really don't know why one place should be a better choice than another.

13. Why is my family unable to get on? How can I improve my parenting? What is happening with this conflict when we should be able to get on fine together? There seems be a lack of understanding between everyone.

14. I wonder what forces are at work that are blocking my progress. I feel like I've done all I can but still the results seem to be unsatisfactory.

15. I have some deeper questions I'd like guidance on or answers to. I have no idea who I can talk to because I don't think they'll understand where I'm coming from.
